Molehill Garden (2015)

On Saturday 16th May 2015, Bearsted Round Table spent the day giving something back to the local community by fixing up an unsafe and unloved school garden at Molehill Primary School in Maidstone.

Work starting at 08:30 and was finally all finished at about 20:00 that night. At times we didn’t think we was going to finish it all in a day but with a lot of team work, hard graft, a lot of help from some family and friends…and of course a large amount of tea and coffee we finished the garden! We walked away feeling extremely proud to have been given the opportunity to this, even if we were all broken, battered and bruised.

Bearsted RT would like to just give a special thank you to all those extra bodies, big and small that lent a hand throughout the day! Whether it was digging, pushing wheel barrows, laying paving slabs, lending garden tools, delivering ice creams or keeping us refreshed, we really appreciate all the help you gave us.

We would not have finished this without you.

I think everyone involved in Bearsted RT can be proud of what they accomplished that day for a good cause in our local community. We’ve even had a little media attention from the Downs Mail around our great work!

Below is a few pictures of how the space looked before and the finished garden!
